Derived from the meaning of wanderlust, Fernweh is the brain child of fashion designer Laura Sherriffs. Fueled by her passion for all things adrenaline-based, Sherriffs has shifted focus from her sci-fi roots of design to providing an affordable and attractive solution for thrill-seekers.
Having already received nomination as a finalist for the "Best New Business" at the Life With Style awards hosted by Trend Magazine, the Fernweh brand has flourished and bloomed. Looking directly at the brand products, it's clear to see the passion and technical skill crafted into each bespoke product. Already proving popular with its debut range of climbing chalk bags and totes, Sherriffs is set to develop the line into womenswear as well as menswear.

Founded under the mantra "Go further, stay curious", Sherriffs herself is a self-confessed rocking climbing fan. Followers of the designer will be pleased to know that Sherriffs has not strayed from her core values and consequently all products under the Fernweh label are 100% handmade and ethical. Fans of the brand can expect handcrafted products made from vegetable tanned leather, created with the view to developing a beautiful patina overtime. With roots focused on quality, it's clear that Fernweh's direction isn't focused on fast-fashion, but instead about the longevity of the products produced.
The next step in Fernweh's path is the launch of their brand-new e-commerce website, which is due to go live on the 1st of June, 2015. The site promises the launch of a behind-the-scenes blog and offers a transparency into the brand which is uncommon in today's marketplace.
