Description

Thank you so much Goodreads and Ransom Riggs for the hardcover copy of Miss Peregrine's Museum of Wonders! Brought me back into the wonderful and inspiring world of the peculiar through the intellectual and witty writtings of Mrs.

Some sections felt like I was forcing myself to read it for school while other sections were so enjoyable that I wish they would’ve been longer.Gloriously rich and utterly delightful, Miss Peregrine’s Museum of Wonders is an indispensable guide to the peculiar world, perfect for longtime fans and new readers alike. I read the first three books in Miss Peregrine's a long time ago and was absolutely in love with them, but the second trilogy didn't feel the same for me. sviđa mi se riggsov humor, njegova uvrnutost i maštovitost i mislim da je izvukao maksimum iz fuzije fotografije i teksta. od svojeg hobija -skupljanja starih i čudnovatih fotografija po buvljacima- riggs je napravio dobar i, vjerujem, unosan posao.

Ransom Riggs grew up in Maryland and Florida and is a graduate of the film school at the University of Southern California. A guidebook to the peculiar world for fledgling members, with notes about the variety of peculiar abilities, techniques for blending in with normals, and other helpful features. Last but not least, i finished only yesterday but i resume to reading it again to find all points for fanfiction ect because theres so much. There is a lot of lore found such as the type of peculiars we’ve seen in the series, how they lived and there are even some personal stories and interesting facts. Gloriously rich and utterly delightful, Miss Peregrine's Museum of Wonders is an indispensable guide to the peculiar world, perfect for longtime fans and new readers alike. When I was a little older I got a camera for Christmas and became obsessed with photography, and when I was a little older still my friends and I came into possession of a half-broken video camera and began to make our own movies, starring ourselves, using our bedrooms and backyards for sets.

This article covers a subject that is part of the real world, and thus should not be taken as a part of the Peculiar Children universe. But I loved reading the lore and information about the world simply because I love world building, and the structure of this one made it especially entertaining. As other people have pointed out in their reviews, you shouldn’t read this book until after you’ve finished reading the main six books in the Miss Peregrine’s series as this one contains some spoilers for the main series. That being said, there is no real story here it is just more lore and peculiar world building so if you have not already read the Miss Peregrine’s series do NOT start here because there will be spoilers for the larger series, and you won’t have a connection to the characters and so the fun footnotes from Miss Peregrine will lose much of their charm. The addition of Miss Peregrine’s comments and notes to Jacob made it tie in with the series in a fun way, so I’m glad I read it immediately after finishing the series.

Covering everything from how to blend in with suspicious normals to the most popular time loops to visit as a temporal tourist, this essential volume is ideal for anyone curious about the world of Miss Peregrine: its strange history, curious practices, fascinating places, most famous (and infamous) names, and much more. Probably only of interest to fans of the series, it's an entertaining look at the world created by Riggs.
